MountCrest Students’ Representative Council Holds Dinner Night

The Annual MountCrest University College’s Students’ Representative Council (SRC) Dinner was held on Friday, 10th May, 2024, at the Coconut Grove Regency Hotel in Accra.
The aim of the ‘’Students and Alumni Networking Dinner’’ is to bring together students, alumni, faculty and management staff to strengthen connections and build relationships within the MountCrest community. In attendance on Friday was Mrs. Helena Ansa-Asare, co-founder of MCU and Ms. Irene Ansa-Asare, the Rector.
It was a night filled with recognition, celebration, glamour and entertainment.
One of the key highlights of the event was the swearing-in of the newly elected SRC executives who will represent the student body for the 2024/25 academic year.
Addressing the gathering, the Rector, in her inspiring speech, entreated the student body to go beyond any challenge they might have, make the most of their time at the University and strive for excellence in their academic pursuit.
She expressed gratitude for the event and wished the entire MountCrest family a very progressive and prosperous experience. The outgoing SRC President, Seyram Kofi Seyram, conveyed heartfelt gratitude to his dedicated team and the entire MountCrest community for their unwavering support throughout his term. He highlighted the numerous impactful projects initiated by his administration and extended sincere thanks to all those who played a role in making them successful.
In his maiden speech, the newly elected SRC President, T.K. Dzidula-Awudi, extended his gratitude to the outgoing SRC administration for its dedication and hard work during its term in office. Also, he expressed his highest regard to the entire student body for entrusting him with the SRC presidency.
Furthermore, he expressed his most profound appreciation to the MountCrest family, specifically acknowledging the founders, Mr. Kwaku Ansa-Asare and Mrs. Helena Ansa-Asare, for their efforts in establishing the University to give opportunities to thousands of students to realize their academic dreams.
The dinner also included the presentation of certificates and citations to
deserving students, alumni, faculty and management members. It was an opportunity to recognize and celebrate the hard work and dedication of individuals who have made significant contributions to the progress of the university community. From academic excellence to leadership skills, the recipients were praised for their outstanding achievements.
Overall, the SRC dinner was a memorable and meaningful event for everyone in attendance. It provided an opportunity for students, alumni, faculty and management members to come together, network, and celebrate the achievements of the university community.
As the evening came to a close, there was a sense of camaraderie and unity among those present, demonstrating the strong sense of community at MountCrest University College.Members of the new SRC are: President, TK Dzidula-Awudi; Vice President, Odamea Amma Amoako; General Secretary, Derrick Aniglo Blessing; Financial Secretary, Catherine Kwame; Women’s Commissioner, Hasuglo Ruffy Lior; NUGS President, Naiza Issifu.
