Irene Ansa-Asare
Rector

Irene is a barrister by profession. She attended Wesley Girls’ High School in Cape-Coast, following which she earned her LLB (Hons.) degree from the University of Leicester, England. She also holds an MBA and an LLM in International Commercial Law from Cardiff University, Wales.
Irene is currently a doctoral candidate at the University of Bath, England, pursuing a Doctorate in Business Administration (Higher Education Management). Irene was called to the Bar of England and Wales in July 2004 and then to the Ghana Bar in October of the same year. She was the first African woman to practise as a barrister on the Wales and Chester Circuit of the Bar of England and Wales, before returning to Ghana in 2011 to join MountCrest University College (‘MountCrest’), the first private tertiary institution in Ghana to establish a Faculty of Law. Irene joined MountCrest at its inception as its Director of Legal Services and then served as its Deputy Rector for Institutional Advancement, Corporate and International Affairs until her appointment as Rector in 2020, becoming the youngest woman to head a tertiary institution in Ghana. Irene’s expertise produces an impactful blend of academia, administration, and industry practice that bring together the areas of law & governance, business, and education in an innovative and collaborative manner.

Ms. Ama Aboagyewaa Akor
Registrar

Ama Aboagyewaa Akor is a passionate and committed University Administrator. She joined MountCrest University College in Accra, Ghana in September, 2010. Prior to her appointment as the Acting Registrar, she was the Senior Assistant Registrar for Academic & Student Affairs.

Osabarima Nana Asiedu Okoo Ababio III
Internal Auditor

Popularly called Nana, our Internal Auditor is the Chief of Larteh-Ahenease and Benkumhene of the Akuapem Traditional Area in the Akuapem-North District of the Eastern Region.

Ms. Grace Worlanyo Krah
Senior Accountant

Ms. Krah holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from the University of Cape Coast. Prior to joining Mountcrest in 2011, she did her National Service at Readwide Limited and was later employed as Accounts Officer.

Ms. Gladys Adwoa Asiedu
Head of Corporate Affairs

Ms. Asiedu is a 7-time award winning Journalist and former Deputy Editor of the “Ghanaian Times”. Previously, she was the newspaper’s Presidential Correspondent at the Castle (seat of government), News Editor, Head of Women & Children’s Desk and Features Editor.
