Mrs. Maurin Efua Odai is a Senior University Administrator, with extensive experience in Higher Education Administration, Human Resource Management and Institutional Development.
She holds MBA in Human Resource Management, from KNUST, BSc in Human Resource Management and International Diplomas in Communication in Business Management and Modern Management and Administration. She is an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Human Resource Management, Ghana. Her work interest is in Capacity Building, Mentoring, Employee Relations, and Work and Organizational Behaviour.
Prior to her appointment as Registrar of MountCrest University College, she served in various administrative capacities in KNUST and contributed significantly to the growth of the university. She was the Zonal Coordinator for the Institute of Distance Learning (IDL) where she coordinated all activities at the Zonal Learning Centres and provided academic and administrative support and strategic directions for the Zone.
She also led the Student Affairs Office and the Student Financial Services Office in the then Dean of Students Office, where she initiated several procedures to improve performance. She similarly championed soliciting of funds to support needy students.
Whiles working at the Office of Grants and Research, she played key role as a Research Administrator in searching for funding opportunities for staff and provided research support services. She served on several university committees and authored serveral proposals and reports. In her years of work, she has accrued tremendous administrative experience from the various schedules she has held, and through dedication to continuous professional development opportunities, she has gained knowledge and built capacity necessary to serve.
Mrs Odai also worked with the Ghana National Fire Service, Tema and Victory Baptist Church, Kumasi. She is married with three children.
